What it does

This automation watches your sheet for new rows. When one is added, it sends a message to a Google Chat space through an incoming webhook — including values from the new row. It’s perfect for new leads, orders, sign-ups, or support tickets, with no scripts to maintain.

How to set it up

  1. Install Sheet Automation from the Google Workspace Marketplace and open it from your sheet.
  2. In Google Chat, open the target space → Apps & integrations → Webhooks, and copy the webhook URL.
  3. Pick the “Post to Google Chat when a row is added” template and paste the webhook URL.
  4. Save, then add a row to test — a message appears in your Google Chat space.
