What it does

This automation watches your form-linked sheet for new responses. When one arrives, it sends a feedback poll (e.g. a satisfaction rating) to the recipient and writes their answer back into a column. It’s the easiest way to measure CSAT or gather quick follow-up feedback, with no scripts.

How to set it up

  1. Install Sheet Automation from the Google Workspace Marketplace and open it from your form’s response sheet.
  2. Choose a column to store the poll result, e.g. column H.
  3. Pick the “Send a feedback poll when form response is received” template, set the question and result column.
  4. Save, then submit a test response — the poll is sent and the answer lands in the result column.

Who receives the poll?
The recipient you set in the template — typically the person who submitted the response or a column that holds their email.
Do I need Zapier or Make?
No. Sheet Automation runs inside Google Sheets, so there’s no third-party connector to pay for or maintain.
